Abstraction and Suspension
Clay model inspired by Charles Eames' 'La Chaise' chairs. In order to encapsulate the "floating figure" element, I suspended my chair slightly with the use of wire. Below are my designs and elevations of the chair model, alongside the colour palette I strived towards for my chair to express artistic abstraction.

Complicit: The Withering of My Street
Experimenting with the extraction of rust onto paper via. white wine vinegar, here I attempt to capture the apparent decay of inspiring architectural spaces in my surroundings. By doing so, there is an almost political message revolving around the idea that certain underprivileged spaces are often lost when it comes to restoration in architecture.

Here, I use a mixture of mellow orange and yellow shades to symbolise the energetic formation of life, with the apparent intertwining movement of the colours looking similar to that of cell division or metamorphosis. Yet, against the deep rusty backdrop, this vibrancy is limited, linking to the concept of the song "Tomorrow Comes Today" as the future is not promised.
